About Utkarsh
Hey there! I am Utkarsh, and I live in TN. I am a dedicated STEM student with a strong foundation in mathematics, physics, computer science, and chemistry. As an American Invitation Mathematics Examination qualifier and active participant in advanced Olympiad preparation, I bring both deep subject knowledge and problem-solving expertise. With experience across programming languages (Python, C++, Java, and more) and a passion for making complex concepts approachable, I specialize in helping middle and high school students build confidence in STEM. My tutoring emphasizes clear explanations, step-by-step strategies, and real-world connections to inspire curiosity and mastery.

I structure my lessons into the following
1. Quick 5-10 minutes discussing any problems from homework or assigned Problem Sets.
2. 40-50 minutes of teaching the concepts for the lesson.
3. 10-20 minutes of working through examples to reinforce concepts learned in the session.
4. 5 minutes of learning applications of topics in the real world.
My belief is that students learn new material best by applying them, rather than just knowing it. That is why I include a wide variety of difficulty in examples and homework that I give out so that the student is sufficiently prepared for all types of problems regarding the concepts learned.
I have extensive knowledge on core STEM classes. However, what I think sets me apart is the amount of STEM competitions I have partaken in, and these competitions have really sharpened my problem solving abilities and how to tackle challenging problems involving a variety of concepts. I believe that I can teach these same problem solving skills to my students through applications of concepts learned.
I usually target my lessons towards middle and high school students with any sort of background in STEM (i.e. whether they need help in understanding topics at school, or if they want to explore further in subjects like math, physics, computer science, etc . . .)
