About Maryamawit

I am a dedicated, patient, and approachable tutor who enjoys helping students learn, grow, and reach their academic goals. With experience tutoring students from kindergarten to Grade 10, including Cambridge curriculum learners, I understand that every student learns differently and deserves individual attention and encouragement.

My background in Computer Science has strengthened my analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, which I bring into my teaching. I communicate clearly in English and aim to create a comfortable learning environment where students feel confident asking questions and learning from mistakes.

I believe that effective tutoring goes beyond memorizing answers. It means helping students understand concepts, think independently, and develop good study habits. I am committed to supporting each student with patience, professionalism, and a genuine interest in their progress.

About the lesson

I am an experienced and patient tutor with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and experience supporting students from kindergarten to Grade 10, including students following the Cambridge curriculum.

My teaching approach is student-centred. I explain difficult concepts in simple, clear steps, use practical examples, and adapt my lessons to each student’s learning style and pace. I encourage students to ask questions, practise independently, and build confidence in their abilities.

Lessons typically last 60 minutes and can focus on understanding school subjects, homework support, revision, exam preparation, and strengthening problem-solving skills. I offer support in Mathematics, English, Science, Computer Science, and ICT, depending on the student’s level and curriculum.

My goal is not just to help students improve their grades, but also to help them understand what they learn and become more confident, independent learners.
