My Approach as a Tutor
- Break complex ideas into simple, clear explanations that make sense step-by-step
- Adapt lessons to each student’s needs, goals, and learning style (visual, verbal, hands-on, etc.)
- Use examples, practice problems, and mini-quizzes to build understanding and confidence
- Encourage questions, active learning, and positive study habits rather than memorization
A Typical Lesson Plan
- Quick review of key concepts or homework questions
- Guided explanation of new material with examples
- Practice problems with real-time support and feedback
- Short recap and tips for independent study or exam preparation
What Sets Me Apart
- Experience teaching at the high school, college, and university levels (including ongoing experience at local university and college level)
- Strong understanding of curriculum requirements and exam expectations
- Supportive, patient communication style that reduces stress and builds confidence
- Experience working with diverse learners, including those who need extra support
- Focus on both skills and confidence, not just grades
Who My Lessons Are For
- High school students preparing for tests, exams, or university entry
- University students needing support with biology (including environmental Sciences), chemistry, or related science courses
- Students who learn best with clear explanations, structure, and encouragement
- Learners who want to improve grades, study skills, and overall confidence (including presentation skills and public speaking )
