About
Dyslexia Tutor Profile
I am a dedicated Special Education and Dyslexia educator with 11 years of experience helping students overcome reading challenges and achieve academic success. Throughout my career, I have provided targeted intervention and individualized instruction to students with dyslexia and other learning differences, utilizing structured literacy approaches aligned with the Science of Reading and programs such as Reading by Design.
My students have consistently demonstrated measurable academic growth, with many meeting or exceeding their individual goals and achieving mastery on STAR Reading assessments. I use data-driven instruction to identify student needs, monitor progress, and adjust interventions to ensure continued success. My expertise includes phonological awareness, phonics, decoding, encoding, fluency, vocabulary development, and reading comprehension.
I am passionate about building student confidence and fostering a positive learning environment where struggling readers can develop the skills necessary to become independent, successful learners. By partnering with families and educators, I create personalized learning plans that support both academic achievement and long-term literacy development.
