About Linda
I started helping children ages 5 months to 6 years in the classroom and realized my passion for education. I love helping students so I received the position at FUHS to work with high school students. My students thought I was studying to become a teacher because of my urgency to help students and my knowledge in the content.
I am currently a graduate student at University of La Verne for my Masters in School Counseling. I worked as a Teacher's Assistant at the Children's Center at CSUF for 5 years. I was recently an Instructional Aide at Fullerton Union High School for almost 2 years, helping students with special needs in English, Math, and Geophysical Science. Although I supported students with special needs in the classroom, I also helped the rest of the class to develop social skills, communication skills, and improve their academic performance when they struggled to understand the material.

I like to ask students what learning style they prefer and what has worked for them in the past. I usually implement different techniques and observe what is effective and what I need to modify. When I teach students, I mostly use positive reinforcement to motivate my students. I ask questions and observe student progress to determine their level of understanding and comprehension.
I've worked with 9-12th grade students, students with special needs (ADHD, learning disabilities, etc), children 5 months- 6 years, and 6-12th graders ( CSUF sports camp).
As a student, it is important to remember that you are here to learn and if you are willing to put the work, I am here to assist and guide you. I believe every student is capable of success, they just need to the tools to do so.
