About Paige
I have 5 years experience with working with elementary aged students within a school setting. Also, I have experience with working with students with varying disabilities. Depending on the county you live in, I have experience with the curriculum that your student uses during the school year. This is beneficial as I can tailor my lessons to your child's specific needs within their current grade level.
I love working with my students! I really enjoy individualizing lessons to address the areas students need help in. Also, I make it fun with games! It is exciting and rewarded when I see my students make progress.
Growing up, I spent a lot of time with my grandma. She is the primary caregiver of my aunt who has Cerebral Palsy. This started my desire to help people with disabilities. As I began serving those with disabilities and seeing their strengths, I knew I wanted to be a part of helping them grow.
I have a Bachelors of Science in Early Childhood/Elementary/Special Education. For the past 3 years, I have been a special education teacher. I have worked to develop and help students achieve goals in the areas of reading, writing, math, and social skills.

First, I like to get to know the student through fun activities. This may inlcude "All About Me" posters or ice-breaker questions. Within this process, I would learn about their strengths and needs, and likes and dislikes. This is all great informaiton to have as I begin to create lesson for them!
As stated before, I am a special education teacher. I love working with student who have special needs. These students may have difficulties but they always seem to bring hard work and positivity to learning.
