About Meagan
As a special education teacher for over 15 years, and 20+ years experience supporting people with neurological and developmental disabilities, I believe every student can be successful given the proper tools and supports to learn.
Peak Abilities focuses on executive functioning and life skills tutoring for teens and young adults.
Executive functioning skills are a set of cognitive abilities that allow individuals to manage their thoughts and behaviors to accomplish a task or goal. These skills are essential for academic success, as they enable students to plan, organize, and execute tasks, as well as control their impulses and emotions.
There are several key executive functioning skills that are important for academic achievement, including planning, organization, time management, self awareness, flexible thinking, and attention.
