I have been taking classes with Borja twice a week for all most a year. I had not taken Spanish since high school. I had the desire to learn something new that I could use when traveling. It has been an amazing experience and I have learned a great deal. Borja teaches using an engaging multimedia experience and he makes learning fun. Borja has been coaching me over the past five months as I desire to learn Spanish for personal, family, and ministry purposes. He has a tremendous joy for teaching and his lessons are enjoyable, well-prepared, and timely. I often find myself laughing as he teaches me. Learning Spanish with Borja is enjoyable, and yet challenging at the same time. I am impressed with his command of technology and implementing the use of videos, many different sources from the internet for learning, his use of games to enhance vocabulary, and all the unique homework challenges. I am impressed how much I have learned in these five months, combining Borja's classes, watching YouTube videos in Spanish, and learning from online software programs like Rosetta Stone. I have been taking classes with Borja for a year now and found him to be patient, knowledgeable and an overall great instructor. When I started I could not count to ten, name the days of the week or understand anything else in Spanish. I can now read and write simpler texts and have just started watching Spanish TV. Considering I am an older learner with a memory not quite in its prime, this is quite an accomplishment :) The fact that Borja speaks almost perfect English helped a lot when explaining the complexities of the Spanish language. Borja has also created excellent training materials and youtube videos so I can go back and review concepts between classes. It is one thing to speak a language, quite another to explain it well. Borja does both wonderfully.
