About Prisha
Hello, I'm Prisha, and I love teaching because I believe it's incredibly rewarding to help and watch others learn and grow. I've completed NCEA Level 3, from Epsom Girls' Grammar in Accounting, Calculus, Chemistry, Physics, and English. I am currently a 2nd-year undergraduate student studying at Monash University in Australia towards my Bachelor's in Engineering for Software Engineering. I'm excited to share what I know with you. My goal is to make learning interesting and engaging for everyone, no matter their background or abilities. I believe that each person has their own unique way of learning, so I'll work with you to find the best approach that suits you. I want you to feel comfortable and confident in your abilities, and I'll do everything I can to support you along the way. Together, we'll explore new ideas, ask questions, and discover the joy of learning together.

My approach to private tutoring revolves around personalized attention, tailored to meet the unique needs and aspirations of each student. Rather than employing a one-size-fits-all methodology, I prioritize understanding the individual learning styles, strengths, and challenges of my students. I empower them to not only achieve academic success but also cultivate a lifelong passion for learning and personal growth. I tutor students from Year 7 to Level 1-3 NCEA English, Maths, Calculus, and Physics. I have excellent grades throughout my time in high school, and pride myself on the ability to learn and grow quickly. I strive to establish an honest and trustworthy relationship with my students, where they feel comfortable in speaking out on their weaknesses and their strengths, and giving me real-time feedback on their understanding during the lesson in order to establish understanding before moving on to more advanced concepts and problems. I like to give real-world examples through my learning to incorporate and encourage students to take interest in their learning so that they can thrive in the future with their interests.

I highly recommend Prisha as a tutor if you’re looking for help with maths, calculus and/or physics. She is a great teacher and explains concepts really well, ensuring that her students understand the concept fully before moving on to the next one. She is also super organised and patient and is happy to re-explain and simplify any difficult concepts. Prisha helped me with NCEA physics, allowing me to better understand certain topics & concepts which I missed in class and wasn’t able to understand, as well as how to solve difficult questions. She also gave me tips and tricks on how to go about solving certain questions which really helped me during tests and exams. She is a lovely and encouraging tutor and I definitely recommend her if you’re looking to achieve academic success.
Prisha and I worked together on the Peer Tutoring Committee in high school. She was a valuable member of the team and her contribution was evident, helping out every chance she got. Prisha was patient, smart and organised, and had great leadership and communication skills that were evident in the way she taught. Her lessons were always productive and helpful to students.
