Experienced tutor in Singing in Denver, Suzanne offers private lessons tailored to your needs.

Suzanne was an amazing teacher to me throughout high school and college! Before I started working with her, I would shake and I could barely sing above a whisper in front of a crowd, but working with her gave me confidence and I developed the skills to perform in front of crowds with ease and just have fun with singing! I appreciate our time together so much - I can now present at my job with confidence. She is the best - sign up now!

After meeting Suzanne when she was a substitute teacher for my choir, I knew that she was the best person to come to for guidance on vocal technique and artistry. With a focus on classical and jazz vocals (among others), Suzanne provided me with training in diverse genres and styles. Her initial focus on technical skills and breathing allows Suzanne to ensure that you will reach your full vocal potential. Because of her, I was able to successfully audition for and participate in several auditioned choirs, including Cherry Creek High School’s Girls’ 21 and Colorado All-State Choir two years in a row. It must be noted that Suzanne truly inspired me both in the realm of voice but also in how to approach life. Suzanne is one of the most personable, approachable, and kind humans I know. She is an extraordinary teacher and guide, and I would recommend her to anyone who is looking to enhance their vocal music skills in a heartbeat.

Suzanne is extremely talented in every aspect of life. Not only will she teach you how to be a disciplined singer, but she will also help you become the person you want to be. She will completely transform your voice and expand your knowledge of what it means to be a true performer. I have been with Suzanne for a very long time now and I can say with complete confidence that I trust her with my life because she will always do what's right for you. She genuinely cares for each individual student and focuses on giving you the best experience possible. She has helped me get into All State Choir and my dream University. Not to mention every single lead role in the musicals I auditioned for. Suzanne prepares you for the real world and shows you how to maintain vocal health while also being a fierce vocalist. She is by far the best vocal teacher I have ever had in my life and I will continue to take lessons from her until the end of time.

After 15 years of singing professionally, I noticed that it was getting harder and harder to sing. I had developed many bad habits that would surely shorten my career as a singer. Suzanne's keen ear and technic focused teaching style helped me get back on track.

I first learned about basic music theory, such as learning key signatures, and rhythms. I took the breathing techniques that Suzanne taught me like how the diaphragm moves to support your sound. Suzanne also explained that classical music builds a foundation for me to sing other genres.
I also loved working with Suzanne because she is open and honest about what I needed to work on. She didn’t sugar coat anything to make me feel better, but she pushed me to work harder.

Suzanne brought a kindness and a level of knowledge that is rare in the music world. She is a beautiful performer herself and knows how to share that gift with those fortunate enough to walk into her studio. Couldn’t recommend her more!

Suzanne is an incredible vocal coach and teacher with a gift for encouraging students to their full potential. She connects and cares for her students, has experience in all genres of music, and helps students sing in a healthy way to protect their voice. Suzanne taught my daughter for 4 years and helped her excel in musical theater, solos for high school, and college auditions for jazz and classical paths. I would highly recommend Suzanne for any vocal student!

Suzanne is an amazing teacher, and I feel so lucky to have been her student. I took lessons all through high school and still do when I can. She showed me musical possibilities I had never considered before, and helped build up my confidence and vocal skills far beyond what I could've ever dreamed of on my own. While studying voice in college, I've come to realize exactly how unique Suzanne is - she truly has mastered the balance of musicianship and humanity that makes music so powerful. She prioritizes musicality at every level, not as an afterthought. Not only is Suzanne a total bad*ss with immense musical skills, she also has an uncanny ability to identify exactly what every singer needs to work on and then teach it in an interesting way. She is an expert on vocal health and pedagogy, and I always feel safe in her studio. Suzanne shaped my life and musical journey in such an important way, and I literally recommend her to everyone I know. She is the best voice teacher you could possibly find!

My favorite thing about working with Suzanne was that she was as much a friend as she was a teacher. I looked forward to seeing her every week because she's always so kind, caring, and made me genuinely feel cherished as a person. Suzanne is also the reason I became as fantastic of a singer as I am. With her help, I made it into the top chorus of my school. I'm pretty sure that if it hadn't been for her lessons and guidance, I would never have made it out of the no-audition, entry-level choir. Every single lesson was unique and perfectly tailored to what I needed to learn, practice, and improve upon. She'd come up with creative ideas involving other areas of my life that made it incredibly easy to learn and understand new techniques of singing. One time, she helped develop my sense of rhythm by having me incorporate a metronome into my daily runs. Even years later, after I moved and couldn't take lessons from her anymore, I'm still a great singer and can easily recall many of the things she taught me. More importantly though, Suzanne is still one of my greatest friends and she's helped me get through very rough parts of my life. From my very first lesson with her, I knew that I had found the perfect voice teacher and I cannot recommend her services and friendship enough to anyone looking to improve their vocal talents.

Suzanne's lessons were instrumental (no pun intended) in helping me to expand my vocal range and develop a greater control over my voice, and I can confidently say that I'm now a significantly better singer as a result.

Suzanne had more impact on my singing than any teacher I have had, and I have a master's in voice. I hope to get back to her studio one day, but in the meantime I can encourage you to go. Since she can teach jazz and classical styles, the key to working with her is finding your true and natural voice. Letting your voice out in a healthy and efficient way. Beyond the great teaching, Suzanne is a wonderful person to work with and know. She will challenge you and encourage you. I encourage you to reach out for a lesson now!

Suzanne was kind and understanding while also pushing me to be a better musician and not allowing me to make excuses when I fell short. I always know that I have someone behind me that will support me through my best and worst. Suzanne prepared me to take on my college career as a musician and gave to the tools to help other musicians as well.

Suzanne is always able to figure out exactly the right thing to fix a bad habit I create or give me a new tool to try. When I say she is the best, that is no exaggeration. Suzanne is ACTUALLY the best in the business.

I like working with Suzanne because she is such a wonderful teacher! She wants her students to thrive in the music field and pushes them to be the best version of themselves. I feel pushed to succeed under her supervision. In her lessons, Suzanne uses her superior understanding of music to help grow her students’ talents and I am eternally grateful for all the wisdom I receive.

I am a HS choir teacher, and Suzanne was one of my primary voice teachers while I was at a local high school for 6+ years. She is excellent with classical, jazz and other genres of private voice. My students had great technique and an important friend and confidante with Suzanne.

Suzanne is the voice whisperer. The tools she has in her kit for addressing different habits or styles of singing are truly limitless. Suzanne will blow your mind with her knowledge of pedagogy, styles, repertoire, and artistry. She possesses a seemingly infinite amount of tools in her kit; all exercises have a specific purpose, and she adapts her instruction for the optimal learning of each individual student. She is a patient, warm, and supportive teacher who creates a safe space for artistry to flourish. I have studied with her for 5 years and was accepted into four graduate programs thanks to her mentorship. Now, post-master’s, I study with her to maintain a healthy and sustainable technique!

I'd recommend Suzanne, hands down, as the best instructor for anybody approaching singing or growth as a musician, regardless of skill level.

Suzanne and I spent just shy of 2 years working together and she's fantastic! Her approach is so well-rounded and geared toward your individual goals. She meets a singer where they are on their journey and helps on every front I could think of. We worked on everything from tone, to expression, to understanding the anatomy involved in singing, to breath control and core strength, and even the mentality and approach necessary to push me toward more success as a musician and person.

If you want to learn from a true master who's professional, encouraging, motivating, caring, and just flat out fun to work with, look no further!

Suzanne is the most intelligent and dedicated voice teacher you will ever meet. Not only is she skilled in teaching voice, she takes the time to get to know her students. Her endless experience allows for students to apply varying vocal techniques in order to become a disciplined vocalist. Suzanne is the most passionate human being I have ever met. Whether it’s about singing or simply just caring for her students. Each person she interacts with is lucky to have met such an amazing person. She will transform your voice and expand your horizons, regarding anything you think you know about singing. She is truly a devoted teacher and taking lessons with her will change your life for the better.

Suzanne has been working with my daughter for the past 7 years. She not only works on vocals, but also educates her on vocal health. She has helped her expand her genre into jazz and classical songs. Can’t imaging her vocal growth without her!

My son started lessons with Suzanne 18 months ago. At that time he had never sang in a choir, nor had he ever had any formal vocal training. In that short span of time, he auditioned successfully for one of the advanced choirs at Grandview Highschool. It is also evident that his voice has grown markedly stronger, his sight-reading has improved tremendously, and he has a newfound confidence in himself.
My son started lessons with Suzanne 18 months ago. At that time, he had never been part of a choir nor had he ever had any formal vocal training. In that short span of time, his voice has grown markedly stronger, his sight-reading has improved tremendously, and he has a newfound confidence in himself and his singing. He recently auditioned successfully for the Chamber Singers choir at Grandview High School for students who show a high level of vocal skill.
Suzanne brings a pleasant blend of musical expertise and humor to her teaching that helps students feel comfortable and accelerates their learning. Also, in this time of COVID, the tele-lessons have been invaluable, and my son has seen no difference between in-person and online teaching.

I highly recommend Suzanne for any student who wishes to grow personally and musically.

Suzanne met me where I was, with no judgment. She was accepting and patient and had a calm demeanor. I felt very comfortable and was able to remove my fears, learning to carry a tune and eventually sing in front of 150 people!

Suzanne was an amazing voice coach for me throughout high school! She is so talented, compassionate, and kind. She worked hard to find music that I was personally interested and motivated by, rather than assuming a one size fits all style to teaching. She is not only a great voice coach, but also a great confidante and friend, caring so much about each of her students. Can’t thank Suzanne enough!

Super awesome teacher! She is so talented. She's very knowledgeable and extremely patient. I was worried about meeting online initially, but it actually worked a lot better than I would've thought, and it was nice to be home with all of my resources as well. Suzanne is really good at making sure you know what you need to work on, but also let's you steer if you want to work on something in particular. I definitely did that a few times. Great teacher, great friend :)

Suzanne not only cares passionately about her students but also has a deep knowledge and love for vocal music. With a superb voice herself, she easily conveys to her students how to produce the best sounding voice possible. She cares for and fights for her students in such a way that students can’t help but feel a deep and loyal connection to her.

Suzanne has been teaching many of our students at Grandview high school over the past 15 years, and there is nobody better in this business. Her combination of pedagogical knowledge about the voice, her ability to weave her knowledge into all styles of music, her own incredible level of performance ability, and her love and care of her students, help to create the perfect combination for a voice teacher.

As a parent I have watched my daughter love her experience with Suzanne. She is remarkable in what she does musically but possibly even more important than that is the love she has for her students. My daughter was accepted into the most challenging choirs in the state and is now pursuing a music career in college - with Suzanne’s support. I can’t say enough about her!

Suzanne is an amazing vocal coach! She has helped me come out of my anxiety shell and has also given me the tools that helped me rely on myself as musician, that I will now always use in practice.

Suzanne is an amazing vocal coach! I learned so much from her about singing and improving my artistic skills. Through her teachings I not only became a greater singer, but also became a more confident and better person.

I have been taking voice lessons with Suzanne for about three years now, and I have to say it has been a positive experience since day one! I have advanced so much as a singer and musician in classical, contemporary, and jazz styles. She fine tunes my technique and bad habits to ensure I’m singing in the most healthy way possible. Her technical abilities are immaculate and she is fantastic at teaching us to sing with expression and “feel the groove.” Oftentimes, I am surprised when she tells me to relax my knees or straighten my shoulders, even when we’re having a virtual lesson and she can’t see lower than my shoulders!

Now for the fun part. Although it is a professional setting, there is still plenty of room for joking, advice, crying, and really anything you can think of. I like to think of her as 80% voice teacher, 20% life coach, and 10% therapist (yes, I know that adds up to 110%). Conversations vary from talking about Netflix shows to delicious foods to DIY home improvement to STRONGLY encouraging me to practice. Regardless of what we talk about, I always feel like I’m in a safe place with Suzanne, and oftentimes, I find myself bragging to my friends about my voice teacher.

If you want a highly talented and motivating voice teacher, look no further than Suzanne Morrison! I promise that she offers the most effective, and somewhat unique and silly, lessons you will ever get!

Suzanne is an extremely knowledgeable and truthful teacher. I can confidently say that she is the best voice teacher I have ever had. She truly knows how to teach a person - their voice just being part of their instrument. She listens to who you are and what you want to learn. With her deep knowledge and giving heart, you walk away a better singer and a better person. Could not recommend anyone more!

Suzanne worked with me to not only learn how to sing, but how to sing with purpose and variety. I started my work with her in Highschool, and even now as a professional actor who sings I still keep in touch and work with Suzanne even to this day. A truly marvelous voice teacher who wants to push you to be your best. She has also become a great friend as well!

Suzanne is one of the most caring individuals I have ever met. She puts everything she has into making sure each of her students feels supported and believed in. My time with her truly was a priceless experience and I learned so much about singing, music, and life in general. I would recommend taking lessons from her to anyone who wants an engaging, challenging, and fun music experience!

Suzanne Morrison is not only an incredible human who really gets to know her students, but she also knows her technicalities to the voice at an extremely depth--much like how an electrical engineer knows everything there is to power grids. She has the expertise. When working with Suzanne, there is no getting away with false notions of how the voice works or harmful practice mentalities, so beginning with a relationship of trust will get you very far. It definitely did for me :)

I took voice lessons with Suzanne beginning in my senior year of high school, as well as periodically throughout my time in college pursuing a career in vocal music education, and I attribute much of my success as a young vocalist to her tutelage. She is an incredible musician, with both the knowledge, experience, and expertise to train voices of all ages. She maintains an excellent teaching environment, one that is both sensibly relaxed and appropriately focused. This balance results in enjoyable yet incredibly productive lessons that establish and build upon foundational skills and essential techniques, all while instilling a sense of tasteful artistry. She truly is a wonderful voice teacher and I would recommend her to anyone of any skill level and training.

Suzanne is one of my favorite friends that I have ever had, let alone my favorite voice teacher! She is so loving and nurturing, and I always enjoyed every minute of our lessons.
Suzanne is also extremely talented and intelligent, and my singing improved significantly through working with her. I truly felt myself becoming a better musician under her instruction because she fosters a safe environment, where you are encouraged to make mistakes and learn from them.
One of the many things I adore about Suzanne is how straightforward she is. She cares about all of her students and will be honest when something requires improvement. Her lessons are so rewarding, because she will inspire you to work hard, so you can enjoy the results of your efforts.
If you have the opportunity to be one of Suzanne’s voice students, take it! There is no one better suited for the role of your teacher.

Beyond being an incredible teacher, Suzanne is also one of the best overall people I've ever met. The growth I saw in my vocal abilities was incredible over the 2+ years I took lessons with her, but she not only grew my voice, she grew my character. She was able to meet me where I was in several areas, but also knew just how to push me to get me to the next level. She had a unique way of teaching that resonated deeper than any other mentor or teacher I had been with for voice. She makes singing fun, and always gave me something to look forward to, as well as something new to learn and improve upon every week.

She was professional and talented. Would highly recommend Suzanne.
