Laine is one of the most inspired and inspiring people I have met in my life. She helped me discover that I had talents -- acting and singing -- that at 51 years old I had no clue I possessed. Theatre (particularly musical theatre) has become a new passion and joy in my life, and she takes full credit. I met her because my daughter performed numerous times with LBM productions (adores Laine), and I auditioned for a bit part in a production she was in. Laine put me in a lead. I was terrified, but it was an incredible experience and, I suppose, life changing. I have been taking voice lessons from her-- both in person and online -- and she is an outstanding teacher. I had had a previous voice teacher for a year, and I finished feeling like I had gained nothing. Laine corrected bad habits and emphasized technique, and within weeks the improvement in the quality of my singing astonished me.
