About Daniel
I have 10 years of professional experience as a classical singer. I have performed as a soloist for the President of the United States and the First Lady, at the white house, in Super Bowl 50 as a part of the United States Air Force Chorus, MLB games, NFL National Anthems, and on National television on numerous occasions. My approach to teaching is based on personal experience as a singer. My commitment to my students is to help them build a healthy, long lasting tecnnique, that will enable them to communicate in a compelling and unique way to their desired audiences.

Connecting with people through my favorite artform: music!
People for whom I have performed, began my asking me questions about technique and wanted to know more about the voice. It's exciting to help someone discover their talents.
I completed a Master's degree from Cincinnati Conservatory of Music and an undergraduate from Louisiana State University, both in Vocal performance. From 2012-2016 I performed as a member of the United States Air Force Chorus in Washington D.C. Over the past ten years, I have participated Music festivals and voice programs across. My training was in classical technique but have sung in a varity of styles including pop, choral, jazz, and broadway.

I like to hear about what the student has learned from previous experience and prior teachers. The first lesson is about developing trust and a common dialog. We'll do some light exercises to warm up the instrument. The student can ask questions about repertoire, style, pedagogy, technique, or dealing with nerves while performing.
Age 10-50. All varieties of students are welcome.
Does it seem like you can trust the teacher? Developing trust is of the highest importance. Different from other musicians, our body is our instrument, so seeking feeback can be far more personal.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
How serious of a student do you want to be. I would encourage a student to be upfront about their level of commitment. How many hours a week will they practice. How consistently will you take lessons. Time is never as productive in lessons if both the teacher and student are not fully invested.
