About Jamie
Good recreational healthy fun
I taught surfing at Pepperdine in Malibu and wrote a book called "Basic Surfing" which sells in local surf and skate shops or online at thelivingcurl.com. Teaching surfing and skating are closely related and I've taught both.
I've taught skating to celebratives such as Pia Zadora (children), TV personalities Donnie and Marie, news caster Chuck Henry . . . . and the list goes on.

I'm the inventer of WindSkating starting in 1977. And teaching skating skills is part of the process. We normally meet in the beach parking lots in Santa Monica. For brand new-bies, we deck them out in proper skates and safety pads and helmets. Then I have them walk the skates on grass as an initiation to basic balance and then transistion to pavement. Mostly it's guiding students and offering tips as they develop their own balance and skills.
