I entered her class with a kindergarten read level in fifth grade. By the time I left her class, I was reading on grade level and soon reading and writing became my strongest area of academics. She taught me how to look for different solutions to a problem. Giving up was never an option but looking for a new path to the solution was one of the most important skills I ever learned from her.
