About Lauren

I have been in education going on 10 years. I have my bachelors in elementary education and my masters in administration and leadership. I started my career teaching 5th grade Reading/Writing and Social Studies. From there, I transitioned into teaching all core subjects in 2nd grade. I became a Team Leader in 2nd grade in 2017. In 2019, I looped up with my kids to 3rd grade. I have now transitioned out of the classroom by becoming an instructional specialist on my campus. My main role is working with the bottom 10% of students in either Math or Reading to close their knowledge gaps.

All throughout my high school and college career I worked in daycares that had more of an instructional focus. I developed my love for children and education because of this. From there, I majored in elementary education where I have been working consistently for 10 years.

I have been in education for 10+ years with bachelors in elementary education and my masters in administration/leadership. I now work as an instructional specialist focusing my time with students that are performing below standard.

About the lesson

Before working with a student I would need to know some basic assessment information regarding the area of highest need. This information can be requested by the student's teacher. From there, your student will be provided a goal based on their highest area of need and it will be monitored and tracked over a period of time.

I have worked with an assortment of students ranging from gifted and talented children to students in need of specialized services from special education. I specialize with students that are performing below standards.

To make sure that you are looking for an instructional master teacher that specializes in the content of most need.

I have forever cherished being able to see my virtual students in person when they returned to campus for state testing. Although state testing doesn't seem to pull at anyone's heartstrings, it was the highlight of my year to see my student's faces in person.
