I started in my tutoring career during my time with the after-school programs (Think Together and YMCA-CAPS)
I am a recent graduate (December 2021) with a liberal studies degree (early elementary education).
I also have experience working for 2 after school programs (Think Together/ YMCA:Caps Program)

I tend to start off by first analyzing where the student is at. By paying attention to their strengths and weaknesses. I would then encourage the student's strengths and suggest some helpful tips to strengthen their areas of need.
I've worked with prek students all the way up to 5th grade students.
Find a tutor/teacher that you feel comfortable around and that is able to teach you in a way that you understand the material, you are struggling in.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Do your best to determine the area where your area of struggle is located. If your not able to determine it; don't be afraid to admit that your just not sure.
