Piano and harp: The first lesson, we explore the instrument a bit and talk about expectations. If we decide we're a good fit, we schedule the first lesson and I let you know what books to order. Then, we proceed to go through the books at a pace that is challenging for the student, but not overwhelming. I do my best to know how each student learns, what their goals are, and to work with that.
Dance: we talk about what kind of dance you would like to do or what song you want to dance to. After that, we go through our options and begin learning the basic step. I go at your pace and diologue to make sure you feel comfortable with each step with learn.
I've worked with a range, from 6 years old to adult.
For dancing, I've worked with those who have trouble finding the beat to those who have prior experience, and all of them walk away confident in their dancing.
