About Marina
I teach both children and adult students. I like to start with beginners. The first half of the lesson is music theory and the second half is learning to play songs of your choosing on your instrument.
I have always enjoyed marketing and advertising. Because of my profession, it has allowed me to continue as a professional musician.
I went into advertising when I left college, but I still wanted to teach. I decided to give lessons to beginners. This also helps keep my teaching chops.
I have played woodwinds, brass, string and percussion instruments for 40 years. I studied music education at Cal State LA. I still perform and teach music today.

I start the lesson with music theory. The second half of the lesson is learning songs.
I have worked with children from 5 yrs old and up. With adults up to 50 yrs old. Usually beginners.
I would have the student try the teacher for at least 4 weeks to be sure they are understanding the instrument and that they are enjoying the lessons. AFter the 4 weeks, the student should be able to decide if they would like to continue or not.
I recently celebrated my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary. I was able to get musicians and seingers together to put on a stage show for them. It was a great experience. We performed all of my parents favorite music live.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
The student should ask questions about music theory. Many students don't get to learn that side of music unless they go to a music school. The student should also talk about the style of music they would like to learn on their instrument. It should be the students choice, not the teachers.

Very convenient and works with our evening schedule. She works at my daughters learning speed/pace.
Marina is very knowledge and talented. Marina works well with teenagers as well as younger children. My daughter felt very comfortable with Marina and looked forward to her lessons. Marina taught my daughter piano and guitar. Marina also went out of her way to help us buy the right guitar. Marina is truly a sweetheart and we look forward to seeing her soon.
