About Lois
I have been teaching piano for many years to students of all ages and all levels. My career started with a degree in Music Education as well as a Master’s with a specialty in “ Children Music and Spirituality.” I have taught music in both public and parochial settings, from toddlers to high school. I can start young children using the “Music for Little Mozarts” curriculum. Adults can also enhance their lives with music using wonderful adult materials available today.
Having a deep love for music, I started teaching piano lessons during the first year after graduating from college.

I always start with a one on one Trial Lesson with the student and the parents. We determine readiness for lessons as well as appropriate materials. There is no charge for this “meet and greet.”
Preschoolers through adults. I started two adults who were in their 70’s.
Music is a commitment! No one becomes a musician without a disciplined approach to practice. Younger students benefit from a parent sitting with them. It’s not a chore when you love the feeling of making music. I encourage individual differences in my students.
I give two recitals during the school year. My students love it and I love it. It’s a time to show off their skills.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students have a lot to balance these days with school, homework, sports, dance, and music. Most students need a structure to fit it all in. The teacher makes suggestions with the help of parents.

Details
My fee for a weekly 30 minute lesson is $99 per month. I give 11 lessons in a 12 week quarter, the last week reserved for a make-up lesson if needed.
