About Sam
I have taught all my assistants through my 40 years. They had to do as I could do to set up lighting in Studio.
Many of them that continued as Photographer are still using what I taught them just like I have from my teachers.
I have been an assitant to New Yorks top Fashion and Advertising Photographers whos backgrounds come from them having worked with Avedon and Hiro.
There many variables to lighting, the most important is how to learn how to use one light source. Corrrectly and build on it.
I teach with Knowledge, passion and experience.

Working one on one instructing the student how to achieve their goals. Student is hands on Im the quide, by doing and by repeating the student will gain the knowledge to be able to use the skills taught.
Not to depend on Photoshop to correct yur mistakes. Not to over retouch a persons face to the point of not knowing who they are.
From begininer to Advanced.
First look at the photographers work, if you dont like it move on to someones work you admire. Its not how their hair looks or what shoes they wear, its about what they do.
