About Roger
I have over 22 years of experience and a degree in commercial applied photography from Texas A&M Commerce.
I taught public high school photography and video for 10 years and also 2 years to continuing education students at the University of Texas at Arlington.
I enjoy seeing students learn and apply the necessary skills and knowledge of photography or video to accomplish what they want. If they aren't having fun learning then I'm not doing my job well
I was asked by an owner of a local camera store to furnish instruction to a group of college students that were going to use new camera equipment.
I have a bachelor of science degree in applied photography and over 22 years experience as a professiona photographer.
I also have over 12 years of teaching experience.

I have worked with students from 18 to 65. The bulk of my students were 16-19 as a teacher in a public school district.
Make sure that the teacher isn't just doing it for the money. Teaching is so rewarding money should not be the first reason for doing it. :)
I recently traveled to the Santa Fe, NM area for a photo/road trip. I spent 3 days shooting photos of landscapes and documenting the area around and in Santa Fe, NM.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I would ask that students really try and get as specific as they can in order to get the most out of their lessons. There is no need in teaching a student how to shoot weddings if all they want to do is shoot sports, or vice versa.
