About Tyler
I want students to learn and discover more about their own imagination and innate artisic and creative abilities. It's important to know, develop and apply these same creative strategies to everyday life.
My experience is in visual art specializing in all forms of traditional painting. I've been painting professionally for six years, but have been creating art all my life.
I have a bachelor's of science in industial arts from SFSU.

Working for my mother at the daycare as well as assisting my brother-in-law in Indiana with his 5 kids via our Zoom lessons. The daycare lessons were 30-minutes each at the daycare and and hour long on Zoom.
I've trained with children at my mothers daycare in the East Bay of California for 19 years. I've worked in numerous group settings with both children and adults of varying ages and artistic backgrounds. I speak a number of local languages considering a diversity of cultures and ideologic expectations within everyday communication.

Starting out, I'd like to understand the level of art the student is at and to then try to find where their interests lie to know what direction we need take in their instruction. I do this to also find at what rate we will be taking in their artisitic development. Overall, an initial assessment of each student would be required during introduction or initial orientaion to the classes.

The advice I would give to a student looking to hire a teacher is to try to see potential in the moments of interest that spark your consideration in that artist/teacher. There's always something special in various amounts that one can learn from someone else. You just can't be afraid of asking what you want to know about.
I was teaching my brother-in-law's children about the color wheel as all 5 children of varying ages from 2years of age to 7year produced their own. Each child did a fantastic job and completed their wheel to the best of their ability with the assistance of their parents facilitating my guided instruction over Zoom. I remember that lesson fondly because I was interested in the way we all discovered more about each other looking at one anothers work although the intended color wheel was expected to be identical to one another.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Considering art, never think through your thoughts before talking to a teacher. Especially a teacher. Teachers of all people should expect and specialize in answering the same, if not all questions for students and the like.

I'm looking to discover the payment strategies for my location and rate of educational session time. I've never used a platform like this before, but I would appreciate some guidance to the beginnings of how one would be compensated for my services here on this website.
