About Rachel
Rachel specializes in murals, face painting, canvas painting classes (for #4-10 people), pregnancy belly painting, henna and much more! Rachel's Creations was founded in 1999 and has been featured twice in The Denver Post as well as in The Canyon Courier and 285 Hustler and is highly rated on Angie's list. EVERYTHING! I love sharing art with others, helping people smile and helping them feel good about themselves and accomplishing something new!
I've always loved art/painting and began teaching canvas painting classes when I found the need for these types of activities at peoples own homes vs everything driving to the paint & sip locations. This way, clients are more relaxed in their own environments and can provide their own food and drinks as well.
I found that I could break things down and ease peoples nerves and help them enjoy art & painting and feel proud of (often times) accomplishing something new that they've never done before!
I have a double B.A. from The University of Texas at Austin and have done further training for face painting & canvas painting parties with fellow professional artists.
I am also fully background checked and able to work in local schools and for other local children's & adults with special needs events.

Clients call me to schedule canvas painting parties which are available for both kids & adults (minimum of #4 up to #10 people at a time). We discuss desired designs and I send photos of options for client to choose from. The client picks one design which I will teach during the class. I get a signed contract & deposit of 1/2 up front to reserve the date & time of their event and the balance is due upon completion the day of the event. I travel to clients' location (or they may come to mine) and I provide everything needed for classes (table top easels, canvases, aprons, paint, water jars, brushes, palettes) and teach a 1-3 hour class depending on chosen design. I emphasize new techniques while teaching as applicable. I love helping clients (who have often never painted before) feel like they've accomplished something wonderful they can be proud to hang in their homes!
I have worked with students of all ages!
Be ready for a fun time! I emphasize breaking things down step by step so students are never overwhelmed by "the big picture"!
I recently got to teach a class for lovely ladies in Galveston, TX for a birthday party. My 76 year old mom was among the students and I was shocked to learn that this class was the FIRST time she had EVER painted! She as well as the other ladies did a great job and she was proud to hang her painting in her new beach home!

Details
Face painting is based on $95/hour and I do give discounted rates for local schools, charities and all day events.
Canvas painting classes for kids are $25/person and $35-40/person for adults. Minimum #4 students, maximum #10 students per class.
Murals and other projects are bid on a per job basis.
