About Cheryl
I make learning to paint easy, taking the fear out of succeeding in learning a new skill. I promise that you will go home with a painting that your friends and family will be impressed with and you'll be proud of. In-house lessons are given in a relaxed studio environment and your only worry is getting yourself here. In your first lesson you will be provided with all supplies to create your masterpiece and I promise you will go home happy!
I love teaching painting! There is nothing better than helping my students evolve by sharing the lessons I've learned in becoming an accomplished painter over my past 20 years. And frankly painting is a really fun stress reliever! Every new painting lesson is a new adventure for myself and my students, it's like a mini vacation to a favorite landscape spot! My painting passion is oil painting landscapes, but I also enjoy painting in acrylics too! I teach mainly landscape painting, but I also enjoy painting animals and flowers too. I hope you will join me on this great painting adventure.

Our first conversation will be about what they would like to paint, oil or acrylics and if they will be using my studio materials or bringing their own. If they are bringing their own I will provide a supply list of meterials they will need. Next, I will explain to them the teaching process and what they can expect to learn, what type of paintings we will begin with, with their goal in mind of what they'd eventually like to paint.

Cheryl is a great art teacher. She is very knowledgeble about painting a picture as well as making it a very fun experience. I am truely a beginner and she was so helpful and patient on explaining what we were doing and how we were going to do it. She knew how to blend colors, which brush to use and how to add depth on the canvas. I am still amazed on how well my paintings turned out with her.
Cheryl made learning to paint easy and took all the fear out of being good at it! It is great having her in the studio showing us the exact way to make that brush stroke or mix a certain color. I love painting with Cheryl and will always be back for more!
