Based in Saint Petersburg, Florida, Miles Smart Tutoring offers affordable educational and tutoring services. Our professional staff works with students of all ages individually or in groups.

I began teaching middle school English in 2009,a do I have been in education ever since. Prior to teaching, I volunteered at various camps and with early reading programs to teach literacy and prereqding skills to toddlers.
All of the tutors at Miles Smart Tutoring have been individually assessed and trained to be top level educational professionals. Our tutors range from ex-business executives, to recent college graduates, to certified educational professionals. We pride ourselves in hiring tutors from all walks of life so that we can bring forth our life experiences to further enrich the tutoring sessions.

On the first session with a student, we will spend the first 10 minutes to get to know them as an individual, assess their current standing in the course, and design a plan of action to get the student from their current understanding to their desired understanding and beyond. Since each student is starting from a different place and has a completely unique learning style; we will adapt accordingly and customize the teaching process in order to suit those needs.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have taught toddlers all the way up to adults. Most of my experience is at the high school level. I have lead trainings for teachers on project-based learning, differentiation, expeditionary learning, deep reading, Socratic seminars, and many other best practices. With youth, I have taught ESL courses, remedial reading and math courses, dual enrollment English, soft skills courses, and cross-curricular writing courses.
Hire us! We're amazing and personable. Ask as many questions as possible when looking for a tutor. This is a very intimate process by nature, and it makes a massive difference in the student's experience if they connect with the tutor on an individual level.
Working with young people makes for many fond events. Each time my students are successful at gaining new skills, I feel a sense of pride, and this fuels me to continue pushing all of my students to do their best.

Our pricing is based off of surveys done in varying locations to pinpoint the average amount spent on tutoring services. We then take this information and place ourselves right in the middle. This allows us to provide elite level tutoring for the price of the average session in any given area. Our prices are dependent on the course material at hand, and are always as competitive as possible, while still being enough to provide our tutors with a comfortable wage.
