About Cynthia
With over 30 years of experience as a retired teacher, I specialize in providing personalized and effective tutoring. My expertise includes teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) to adults, as well as math to elementary students in grades 3rd through 6th. The first step to helping our clients reach their goals is to provide a free consultation. This allows the tutor to get to know the client and their unique needs. After a careful analysis of the areas for growth, the tutor then creates a plan and provides a recommendation. That is when a mutually convenient schedule can be confirmed and the learning may begin.
During my 30 year teaching career, I have taught all types of students -- both adults and children.
I would say to find a tutor that matches your energy and personality. One who has expertise and education in the field you want to improve in.
I recently retired and it was a very emotional decision for me. I love that I can continue teaching through my tutoring services, but will miss the children that I taught at my middle school.
