About Tori
I am most satisfied about tutoring students because it's been a passion of mine since I was a child. I'm currently an educator in my 6th year of teaching Middle School Math, so I know the importance of meeting the child where they are. Foundational skills are what drive students to excel, so that is what I aim to strengthen in each session.

I especially enjoy working with students from different backgrounds and learning how I can assist them.
I started teaching in 2017 with the inspiration coming from my mother who is also an educator. Her drive and passion for teaching young children allowed me to realize that I have the same passion and drive for helping others. With her assistance I was able to tutor children in my neighborhood and school as I grew up. This allowed me to pursue my degree in Education.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Middle School Education with a concentration in Mathematics that I received from South Carolina State University.
My business has been up and running for about 2 years officially, but I have been tutoring students since I was a child myself.

My typical process is for prospective clients to fill out a form so that I can acquire basic information about the parent and child.
Once this is completed, I prefer for clients to book an initial consultation.
After this step, clients are encouraged to book their first session where they will be able to take a diagnostic test to see what they know.
I worked with various types of students that include, but are not limited to students who have individualized education plans, behavioral intervention plans, students who are below grade level, and above grade level. I have also worked with students from different backgrounds and cultures.
I would tell this student to search for someone that meets their needs and is willing to assist them in anyway possible. Someone that can go above and beyond for you is also a plus.
I am most fond of tutoring a student who not only failed the previous grade level, but also has speech problems. Most recently we found out that he passed the final for his current class with flying colors.

Ms. Seymour is an excellent tutor to my child in the area if Math. She is patient and extremely knowledgeable in the subject area. My child's grades have improved, and she now enjoys Math. I would highly recommend Ms. Seymour as a tutor.

Tori is always on time and takes the time to make sure the student understands before moving on. She always let's me know at the end of a session what was covered . She connected with my nephew in such a great way and not to mention his grades has improved tremendously. I will highly recommend.
