About Jacob
I'm a UCLA student majoring in Molecular, Cell and Developmental Biology and looking to make money part-time as a tutor. I've enjoyed working with kids throughout my life and tutored students in math at a local after-school. I've been tutoring students over Zoom since the pandemic began. I worked as an editor on my high school newspaper so I can also tutor students in English.
The smiles that spread across my students' faces when they understand a concept that they struggled with is the most rewarding part of my work. I want to help students that they are more than capable of being successful in school and help them gain the confidence to push themselves in their academic pursuits.
I was a high school student looking to make pocket money so I got a part-time teaching job at an after school academy run by my friend's father. I taught Algebra to middle schoolers in both a one-on-one and classroom setting.
