About Suhita
Hello! My name is Suhita, and I would love to chat about your tutoring needs. I am a first-year medical student in New Jersey with experience tutoring in chemistry, physics, biology, and math. I earned my bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 2021, after which I spent 3 years as a business analyst at DaVita Kidney Care and completed an accelerated pre-med post-baccalaureate program for career changers.
I have nearly 10 years of tutoring experience and enjoy working one-on-one with students across a variety of subjects, including elementary school through adult learners. I enjoy helping students build confidence in math (elementary through high school) and all core science subjects (elementary through college level). I'm also always happy to provide guidance on test prep strategies, college admissions, medical school admissions, etc.
My goal is to meet students where they are, build strong foundations, and help them feel excited about learning. After studying a wide variety of subjects, I am also well-versed in various study methods, time management strategies, and helpful resources. Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions. I first started teaching as a peer tutor through the National Honors Society in high school. From there, I tutored in college through the West Philadelphia tutoring project and privately as well. I've continued tutoring students of all ages across math, science, and English subjects since then!
I earned my bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Pennsylvania in 2021 and completed an accelerated pre-medical post-baccalaureate program at Scripps College, where I earned a 4.0 GPA and completed all required medical school courses. I'm now a first-year medical student, so I get to stay up to date on all of the sciences through my classes.

When I first begin working with a new student, I focus on understanding my student's goals, challenges, and learning style. This allows me to understand how they are feeling about the subject matter, the issues we may need to overcome together, and the best way for me to set up our lessons going forward. I also find it important to set expectations so that every new student feels prepared for each session. For example, we would discuss assignments, homework, what they might need to prepare, and address any questions they may have for me.
I have had the chance to work with students across all ages and learning styles. I have worked with many elementary-aged students in Math and English, several high school students, and college and adult learners. I have learned how to adjust my lessons and teaching style to meet each student's needs and encourage diverse learning styles.
