About Raja
I can provide in-depth explanations and have experience tutoring students virtually. I have previously self-studied college calculus and finished with an A in my math courses. I also self-studied general chemistry, physics, and a good number of my biology classes in college and managed to get an A in them as well. Therefore, I understand the logistics and mindset needed to succeed in these subjects from a student's perspective and will teach a similar, yet adaptive approach to my students for their success.
I enjoy bringing up people's self-esteem and confidence in academics especially because I know how hard it is to stay strong when you are doing bad and it all starts with the mindset. A strong and healthy mindset will able you to push through any hardships. I believe I can help students who do feel like this or struggle in their classes to bring up their confidence to a point where they will become independent ... and maybe tutors themselves!
I first tutored my brother and he has been doing well. He then recommended his friend to ask me about chemistry questions and I helped her and word spread from one person to another.

1.) Understand the student's struggles and give them assurance
2.) Ask the student how they study and their methods to get an understanding of how to approach them
3.) Ask the student to provide me with any class notes or specifics ahead of time so I can address the student's concerns in accordance with their class curriculum
4.) Give a quick crash course on the topic, give practice questions, and go over any additional homework or questions
I have worked with middle school students from Kuwait in teaching them basic physics as well as high school students in teaching them general chemistry. I also have experience teaching elementary school students basic math. In all these cases, the students have found themselves able to do the homework and classwork by themselves after tutoring.
Look for someone who is kind and flexible but at the same time works with your curriculum and not what they learned. I found myself in positions where any tutors I had would often teach from their perspective rather than the curriculum I followed. Most importantly, look for a tutor who's happy to teach you, not teaching you to cause just because they will get paid cause the best people in their professions are always the most passionate ones.
I am trying to gain more experience in Machine Learning and have recently been trying to learn Linear Algebra to set the mathematical foundations for me to learn ML.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Make sure to go over your material and give an honest effort in trying to learn and understand the material. In doing so, you can figure out your weak points and get them clarified. If you go unprepared, you will be spending time going over maybe 50% of what you would have learned in class rather than understanding the 5% gap you didn't get from a class.
