About Karen
When I was in K-12, I was one of the best students in Math. In fact, my peers asked for help on a math problem or two and each year I was awarded a certificate for Outstanding Math skills.
Although I didn't pursue Math as a major in College, I began my DJing journey and played at numerous events. I’ve also taught DJing and connected the lessons to STEAM. So Math is still around me.
During the Math and/or DJ course, my main goal is to enhance learning and to build confidence. For some, Math and DJing can feel intimidating. However, as a tutor, I will make sure to walk you step-by-step on achieving this goal.
I enjoy making people happy and seeing the relief they have after solving a difficult problem in Math, for instance. I also enjoy knowing that each student walks away with a learned skill that would benefit them.
