About Brianna
My services stand out because I do my best to tailor-make every session for the student I am working with. What method of teaching may work well for one student but it may not work well for another. Within the first few sessions I will work with the student and evaluate where they are the strongest in their understanding and where they need more support. My goal is not just to aid in the completion of homework, but rather to help every student I work with improve their own understanding of the subject being studied.
I enjoy helping students understand what they are being taught. Unfortunatley in the school system today, a lot of students move through the motions to get the work done but never fully understand the concepts they are working on. Sometimes a student needs a bit more one-on-one sessions to break through the wall of confusion. Sessions like this allow the indivial student to ask more questions leading to a better understanding. I enjoy providing that one-on-one attention needed to help fill in some of the blanks so my students don't just complete their homework and tests, but also gain the knowledge that will stay with them as they continue on in school and in life. I also enjoy being able to provide support for the student through the session until they understand and see they are able to do the next problem on their own. I do my best to make sure each of my students walk away with not only the understanding of the subject, but also the confidence to try the next problem on their own.
I have wanted to be a teacher ever since I was a small child. I spent my teenage years babysitting and my early twenties as a camp councilor as I studied to become an educator. I graduated from the University of Delaware in 2018 with my associates and my bachelors. While I was studying through college I was tutoring students in my freetime, until I got a full time teaching job as an outdoor educator in California. Due to covid I lost my outdoor educator job and now have moved back to my home state to continue tutoring students online.
I have an associates in elementary education in math, science, history, and english. I have a bachelors in middle school science education. I also have been a home/online tutor for 7 years tutoring specifically in mathematics.
In addition to my education and tutoring experience, I also have a background in working with children from ages 8-18. I have worked as a summer camp councilor for many years, as well as an in class teacher and an outdoor educator working with students from 5th-8th grade.

I have worked with students of all ages, mainly in the areas of math and science. With my teaching job in California I worked with 5th and 6th graders in geology, ecology, wildlife biology, astronomy, and survival skills. While tutoring I have worked with students from 5th grade through high school in mathematics. I have helped aid with the understanding of basic math, algebra, geoemtry, statistics, and more.

Bri is literally the only reason I passed high school and college math
Brianna has been tutoring both my kids for 6 years in math. A year and half of it was during the pandemic….. She is so completely understanding with 2 completely different “learners” and is able to easily adapt to their different teaching styles that work best for them. She can keep them on task and engaged, this year was very challenging because we were doing 2 hour tutoring sessions due to being online.
