About Oluwakanyinsola
Learning is unique to every individual. Therefore the first session is FREE. When it comes to math and science tutoring, Kanyin's Premier Tutoring is keen on understanding the way each student learns. Therefore, every student deserves lesson and tutoring styles that reflect their learning pattern. At Kanyin's Premier Tutoring, we not only help student embrace new concepts, but we shape the tutoring lessons and exercises to meet each student's learning needs.
Kanyin, a tutor, has been actively tutoring since 2019. After finishing a degree in Neuroscience at Amherst College, a top liberal arst school, she began tutoring middle school and high school in math and biology in the Holmdel area. She additionally began tutoring statistics with at the college-level in the Sicklerville, NJ area.

"I really have a heart for math and science! But I know what it's like to not understand something that others may think is easy or others can get after practice. For me, what makes tutoring special is the hope that we can work through a concept by analyzing one's learning styles. It is interesting to learn about learning. There is no one way to learn something. So as a teacher I like to be humble. I like that it can challenges me to reinvent my relationship with the subject.

I began teaching in college as a teaching assistant for Neuroscience and a teacher for Splash!. Splash! is an organization founded by MIT that gears college students to teach elementary, middle, or high school students various interesting subjects. I worked on the team as teacher and Vice President of the club in school.
As a neuroscience major, I was the TA, or teaching assistant, for a course called Neurophysiology. Students would schedule office hours with me before exams to further grasp the subjects.
I continued teaching after finishing a Post-Bac semester as an Algebra II and Geometry tutor.
I have a Bachelors degree in Neuroscience, an interdisciplinary major that emphasized many quantiative courses. Topics included math, biology, chemistry, statistics, and neuroscience.
Moreover, I had additional training in biology and math by doing a post-baccaulaureate program in Data Science and Biochemistry.

At Kanyin's Premier, the first session is usually a diagnostic session where we begin to understand the particular topics of the subject that the student has questions about. Typically in this session we take the time to ask questions so we can get to know the student better. Within the first four to five sessions we are able to learn the learning style of the student and help to concentrate on the skills they have difficulty learning.
Within each session beyond that, a student can expect to come to a tutor with specific questions, a homework assignment, or exam. We then will work with the student to answer those questions by using either a white board, giving examples, and asking for student feedback.
As we continue to work with students, we enjoy measuring their progress, hailing their accomplishments.
I have worked with 7th Grade Math and Biology Students, 11 Grade Math Students, and College Level Math Students.

Overall, pricing depends on the rigor of the work being done.
Typically, I charge $30 and hour for each student. For college or graduate level subject, $35 an hour. Half- hour sessions are also available.
