About Dawn
I use real-world application, scaffolding, and modeling to help students achieve their learning goals. I have a concentration in mathematics. I am passionate about educating others. I have been teaching for 5 years. I also have my Master's in Elementary Education. I decided to become a teacher so I can help educate society future leaders. I am part of the solution, not part of the problem, in my community.
I enjoying seeing students realize how much strength they have within themselves. I enjoy challenging students and helping them challenge themselves.
I always wanted to be a teacher at an early age. I received my Bachelor's from Harris-Stowe State University. I received my Master's from UMSL. I started teaching, and currently teaching, at Saint Louis Public Schools.
I have my Master's in Education. I have a concentration in mathematics. I completed professional development in a Science, Technology. Engineering, and Math (STEM) program. I have been teaching for 5 years. I taught 6th grade math my first year of teaching.

I would like for the student to send me their contact information. The student needs to include what specific area they need tutoring for and a little background information about themselves.
I have worked with children ages 6 to 15. I also have worked with adults.
I would tell them to get ready to challenge themselves. They will be able to track their growth from the start of our sessions to the end of each session. I will not give up on them and I will advocate for them, when they cannot.
I always attend a teacher institute, in Texas, founded by the ThurGood Marshall Foundation. I mainly tutor friends and family members. I work for at Ames Visual Performance Arts.

I didn't graduate from High school. She tutored me for the GED. I didn't pass the first time and I wanted to give up. She helped me understand why giving up was not an option. She tutored me again and gave me strategies to test taking.
I didn't believe in myself. She help me see I can do it. I always had a headache after looking at any math work but she made me feel more comfortable.
She is very patient. She knows how to break the math down into simple steps. She allows you to express yourself and helps you with individual growth as well.
