About Meghan
I try my best to make my lessons student oriented. This means that the student is guiding the lesson as much as possible. And the student is interacted. If the students need visuals, examples, audio, etc. I will try my best to provide such things as support. I don't believe students retain information through 'lectures.'
I love helping students achieve their goals. I want the students to understand and come to the 'answer' or explanation themselves. I walk through steps with them on analysis and grammar and anything they need help with. I love seeing them understand it themselves and reach their potential and goals.
I am becoming certified in English Education. I started out in college as Math Education and have taken 3 semesters of math and was top of my math class in high school.

The first few minutes I get to know the student. What level they're at. What their strengths are and what their weakness is. Then I have them explain to me what they're learning in their own words and see if they understand everything or need help filling in blanks.
My advice would be to first get a sense of the tutors strengths and weaknesses. Do they provide the service you need? Are they compatible with you?
