About Justin
I am a full-time engineering student at CU Boulder with a passion for mathematics and teaching. I am more than excited to help anybody who is looking for help with math from the elementary to the high school level. Especially students who are looking to get help as they progress into college.
As somebody who graduated high school with 8 years of math experience, I understand what it takes to have a comprehensive understanding of algebra.
I got started teaching by tutoring my family and friends, as well as working as a taekwondo instructor throughout high school. Both of these allowed me to see the different ways in which different people may learn.
In high school, I doubled the math courses that I took almost every year and got a very in-depth understanding of algebra. In college even though I have already taken algebra and calculus I am retaking them so that I can understand every detail of the field, and I can confidently say that I do.

As somebody with past teaching experience, I take an approach of starting with the basics and working forward to see what content a student may have missed so that they can have a full understanding of the content they are learning, even if it was not taught to them in school.
I have worked with all types of students from 2nd grade to 12th grade tutoring math and science.
As a student, you should look for somebody who knows what it is like to be a student.
A recent event that I am fond of is my last summer when I was working with the Colorado Pika Project as a community scientist and playing in different music venues around Denver as a metal musician.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should think through their style of learning and what they know works best for them. Every mind is different and every mind learns differently so it is very important to try to find a way you learn the best :)

Details
I work currently at 45 dollars an hour and recommend that a student sees me twice a week for an hour to an hour and a half weekly so that I can check up with them as they are learning new content in school. My prices are however very negotiable as I understand how necessary a tutor may be.
