About Jessie

Hello! My name is Jessie Bray and I am 15 years old. I am from Belgrade, Montana and I love math. I am a freshman in highschool and I currently take Integrated Math II. This is an advanced level math class that is offered at Belgrade High School. Next year I plan on taking AP Statistics and Advanced Integrated Math III. I have maintained a 4.00 GPA throughout all of my education and have devolped useful study skills that I would love to share with your child! I enjoy working with young children and helping them develop essential math skills needed for their future education. When I was in 8th grade, I was chosen as a Teacher's Assistant (TA) for 6th grade math. I was a TA for one year. During this time, I helped students one on one if they were struggling and occasionaly led entire classes.

I enjoy seeing children progress and understand material that may be difficult at first. Students can sometimes become frustrated if something is difficult to understand, which is totally normal! I love watching them begin to understand and see that frustration disapear and hard work pay off!

I got started teaching by finding that I love math and love helping younger stundents understand it better.

I have been an advanced level student for my whole life and I tutored 6th grade students for one year. (I am open to any grades through 6th.)

About the lesson

When working with new students, I like to get to know them before getting straight to work. I think that it creates a more welcoming environment so that I can build a relationship with your child. I like to learn their strengths and weaknesses and then help them with anything that they need.

I have worked with mostly elementary aged students and students who are struggling to understand.

I would tell students to look through all of their options and chose a few teachers that they would feel comfortable with and request an interview in person or over the phone.

I am fond of businesses, communtities and individuals donating to support the Australian Wildfires.
