About Alexandria
I love exploring the many various ways a single math problem can be solved and using that to find one that the students can understand. Together we will learn and grow together to build a solid foundation to take into any math criteria you may face.
I love helping people. I have been tutoring math since I was in high school and it was always the highlight of my day. I love watching each student's eyes light up when they finally understand a concept we have been covering.
My high school teachers noticed I would finish my work more quickly than other students and would request I would go around the room to assist others and/or take students out of the classroom to a small tutoring room where we would have one-on-one sessions.
I have a bachelor's degree in Engineering. I also have tutored math since junior year in high school both paid and unpaid (volunteering). I have taken math courses through differential equations, although I do not tutor that subject.

I like to get to know the students to get the awkwardness out of tutoring. I like to open each session with a quick review how their week/day went before we begin into the material. Then I will ask what topics were covered this week and what topics from the week prior were still confusing and work on those topics until the time is up. I will have students complete examples, review tests, do homework with me depending on the work for the week.
I have worked with elementary students through college.
Do not give up. Just because you do not understand right now does not mean you never will. You just have to find another way to look at the problem, that is what I am here for!
A recent event I am fond of is the re-opening of the country after the COVID-19 pandemic. I believe this will allow our economy to recover and let people's mental health return as well. I think precautions are still needed for certain circumstances however the direction towards a re-opening is exciting.
