About Carrie
As a tutor, I enjoy taking the extra time it takes to help you succeed. I review your work and concerns prior to the session and come up with a plan to break down topics into easy to understand steps or ideas before your session even begins. That ensures I come to the table fully prepared and you get the most effective and efficient use of your time possible. As a neuroscientist, I understand how learning happens, why people struggle at times, as well as how to identify and cater to individual differences among people.
I honestly find learning to be a fascinating process that can easily be taken for granted. I enjoy seeing people grasp ideas, overcome struggles, and succeed where they once might not have thought they would. Being able to help someone learn is a really rewarding experience for me and that is what I enjoy most about tutoring.
