About Alona
In the fashion industry, the term "couture" refers to one-of-a-kind pieces made to suit the client's needs. My tutoring services are much the same way in that I am willing to adapt to fit your needs! In addition to being an enthusiast of all things number-related, I am also a fashion and makeup lover.
I am currently working full time as a lease analyst, but I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance in 2017. While in school I tutored a number of subjects including Math, Accounting, Economics, and Spanish for six semesters beginning in the fall of 2013. I love being able to help students improve and meet their goals.
I always excelled at math, and it was my favorite subject through all my years of school. I got a 5 on the AP-Calculus exam in high school and excelled in my required college math courses. At UWO I tutored math for six semesters.

When first meeting a new student, I like to get a sense of what they are studying, what they already understand, and get a grasp of their learning style. For example, some students prefer to start the work themselves, then have me correct them and explain mistakes. Others may want to start with more detailed explanations and follow them up with practice problems. I am willing to adapt to what they need and what works best for them.

Details
$25 for up to an hour, and an additional $25 per hour beyond that. If travel is required, pricing will be adjusted accordingly (for example, $15 per half-hour of travel each way).
