About Andrew
Atemi Ryu Jujitsu is a traditional self defense system that has been enhanced for modern day combat/self defense situations. Our system has been taught to groups and individuals from the handicapped, to the elderly, to special forces at Ft Bragg. We teach modern day Aikido and Japanese Jujitsu as well as Atemi Arnis (weapons training) for urban self defense. There is no system in the world like this one. We hold nothing back in teaching from the beginning student to accomplished Black Belt we teach you at your level and bring you up to where you decide you want to be. At Atemi Ryu Jujitsu you are family from the get go. Shihan Dai Andrew O'Boyle has multiple degrees in the martial arts. 1st degree BB in Tae Kwon Do, 4th Degree BB in So Get So Ken Jutsu, 2nd degree BB in Atemi Ryu Jujitsu, 3rd Degree BB in Chendokan Aikido, and a 4th Degree BB in Atemi Arnis Jujutsu.
I absolutely enjoy everything I do at Atemi Ryu Jujitsu. Teaching honor, respect, honesty, loyalty, bravery, leadership skills, self awareness, confidence, and most of all the ability to make and achieve goals not only in martial arts but in life has been an honor in itself. Here at Atemi Ryu the learning never stops. You set a goal and achieve it, then you set another goal. Atemi Ryu Jujitsu will alway be my extended family.
I have been always been a teacher. My Philosophy teach what you have learned in life and your legacy lives on. In my case my teacher's legacy lives on.

Every Student that I have the honor of teaching I first discuss with them their ultimate goals, assess their physical ablilities and or limitations, and then design a customized training carriculum to advance their skills and abilities from where they are to where they want to be and hopefully beyond.
I've worked with the handicapped, people in wheelchairs, People of all types from 2 to 60 years old. Special forces, Military, Police, and of course every day people that have no martial arts skills whatsoever.
Interview the teacher and make sure your teacher teaches in such a way that you are able to understand and absorb what is being taught. Learning should be fun. (not necessarily easy) but fun.

Students questions are all different depending on the student. So the questions would be geared to how the teacher teaches and how the student best learns.

Everything! Learning at my own pace. Everyone there is like family. Learning Black Belt Techniques without being a Black Belt. Instructors do not hold back knowledge and freely share their knowledge to anyone who is willing to learn no matter what level they are.
It is the most comprehensive and practical self-defense system out there. The environment is absolutely phenomenal as are the instructors. Grandmaster and founder, Philip Chenique, has established a very special system and training environment for all students. Shihan Dai Andy O'Boyle is as dedicated a martial artist and instructor as I have ever met in my 45 plus years of training. He can teach unlike any other instructor I've ever met. He is a master fundamentalist.
All the instructors have a bunch of knowledge and are willing to work with every single person on the mat they are family oriented and feels like home

Details
my Price is $25.00 per 30 minute lesson. Most lessons go past 30 minutes especially the initial on because of the initial interview. I do give Homework and will also review that in the next session which does not run into the new lesson.
