About Sensei Carl
I love teaching! I really enjoy helping others find that inner strength to keep pushing forward. Our 30 minute classes are tailored to the needs and ability of the student. Wether your a smaller sized Woman or that skinny kid in the group. I can show you how much stronger than you realize you really are!
I have been teaching for almost 15 years now. I really enjoy helping both kids and adults that have challenging disabilities find not only their inner strength but that inner peace of mind as well. Seeing the confidence in your student grow as they start to realize that they can do this is one of my bigger rewards in life.
I've always wanted to teach the Martial Arts. When we found this company my daughter and I started training. After training for about a year I was introduced to the Instructors University. After attending the university for a couple of years they offered me a full time teaching position at one of our other locations, of course I jumped right on.
We have an extensive amount of training in our program that is done through our "University of Marial Arts" This is a multi year long course that teaches us how to be better instructors so that we can appeal to a wider range of social expierences and do so in a safe manner.

What we typically do is have the prospective student come and take a 30 minute lesson with an instructor. After that there are 2 one hour group classes during the week. The first 2 weeks are free to come by and check it out and see if they like it.
I have personally worked with so many people with varying disabilities. Everything from Downs Syndrome and ADHD to Lou Gherrig's disease and one student that had the right half of his brain surgically removed because of siezures. I have always found a way to teach the student in a fashion that they not only understand but enjoy themselves as well.
Don't just shop around buy price, go and take some lessons and make sure that studio and style are a good fit for you.
I recently had a student that came back after not training for a couple of years. He said he was bored around the house and wanted to get more active in a productive way.

Perfect! My grandson is really enjoying the classes.
Perfect! Just starting but first impression he has a way with kids. My grandson is a little shy but Carl had him relaxed and laughing.

Details
We do have standardized pricing, however we offer about a dozen different packages. What we typically do is have you come in and try it for the 2 weeks. At the end of that trial we will sit down with you and show you all the different packages and let you choose the one that fits you the best.
