About Liam
I tailor my service to those I tutor.
At my first session, which is provided free of charge, we will talk our way through the first practice test you took, identify areas you struggled in and realistic timelines for imporving scores on each section.
I have been tutoring the LSAT for a couple of years and have helped multiple students break the 170 barrier.
Beyond LSAT tutoring, I have prior teaching experience, as a TA for a statistics course, as an English Tutor for international students and as a volunteer teaching students at a title 1 middle school about personal finance.
As for my own personal LSAT, I recieved a 99.3rd percentile score(174) twice the first two times I took an offical test and will provide score reports upon request.
My favorite part about teaching and tutoring are wittnessing those "a-ha" moments where a concept that they previously struggled with clicks.
I started by simply tutoring friends in classes I did well in in college, but my first formal involvement was getting hired as a Teaching Assistent for Business Statistics.
I have been accepted into the University Of Virginia School of Law(ranked #8 per USnews)for the fall of 2021.
I have a Bachelors degree in Economics from the University of Maryland.
I have tutored privately throughout college, including multiple LSAT clients who I helped break 170.
I worked as a Teaching Assitant for a business statistics course and ran office hours, helping students.
I have also been an English Tutor for international students through club involvment.
Finally, I was selected by the FLOAT program at UMD to teach a weekly lesson at a title 1 middle school about personal finance.

I request the student take the June 2007 LSAT(available for free online).
We begin by briefly discussing goals, and then review the test. First, we broadly break it down by section, as logic games is a far more learnable section than the others and can be improved in shorter time frame.
After breaking it down by sections, I establish a realistic time frame for meeting your goals.
Then we finish going over the practice test to identify any specific areas of types questions you struggle with so I can tailor the following lessons to you.
Primarily students who were Juniors or Seniors and already had above average practice scores. My assitence was mostly to give them that final bump after they had plataeued using other methods.
I reccomend doing the first session with somebody, as it is common for tutors to offer a free first session, and see if you liked the experience and mesh with their teaching style.
Additionally, I would beware of radical score imporvements offered over a very short timeframe, espeically if the area you need improvment in is reading comprehension or logical reasoning.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I'd reccomend you have overarching career goals, which helps us figure out the type of score you'd need(relative to GPA) to get into a school that enables you to do that.

Details
Prices are flexible based on the needs of the students. Typically 100/hour for online video call tutoring and 120/hour for face to face tutoring.
I additionally offer help outside of dedicated tutoring times, and can be reaching via my phone. For simple questions or follow ups to sessions, my assitance is free, but if you need detailed explantions and throuough breakdowns, I break the hour into 1/10 increments and charge accordingly.
