About Alena
Hi! I’m Alena, a dedicated tutor with 9 years of tutoring experience and 8 years of work as a substitute teacher. I specialize in Middle School, High School, and College-level Science, Medical Terminology, English, Reading, Writing, and Psychology.
I hold an Associate’s Degree in Biomedical Sciences/Healthcare and a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences from Wilmington University, where I graduated with a 3.72 GPA. I also completed the Cooper Medical School P.U.L.S.E. Program.
As a tutor, I’m patient, flexible, and creative — I love finding out-of-the-box ways to make complex material easier to understand. My goal is to help each student build confidence and truly enjoy the learning process.
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences from Wilmington University. I have been a substitute teacher since 2017, so I have experience working with and teaching students. I also did tutoring in 2017 as well.
