About Alexa
I am passionate about making education engaging and accessible to all learners!
In May of 2024, I will be receiving my M.A.T. (Masters in Arts of Teaching) in Special Education with a specialization in literacy from The College of New Jersey (TCNJ). I also have my B.S. in Elementary Special Education and iSTEM from NJ. Next year, I will be an elementary special education teacher in Branchburg, NJ.
Through my time at TCNJ and summer jobs, I have obtained a variety of experiences in working with elementary-aged students with learning differences, neurodiversities, and behavior challenges in both academic and non-academic settings.
While I am not certified, I also have experience in implementing and facilitating structured literacy programs such as Orton-Gillingham and Willson to support students with reading difficulties (such as Dyslexia) in their literacy development.
If you were to select me as your tutor, it would be my mission to get your students excited about learning, boost their confidence in themselves, and help them achieve progress in whatever areas they need support in!
