About Mona
My name is Mona Hickerson and I have 25 years of teaching experience teaching PreK-2nd grade, special education, reading interventions and dyslexia interventions. I have been a private tutor the the past 3 years in the Denver are and just moved to Edmond, Oklahoma. I am Orton-Gillingham trained and utilize systematic phonics with lots of game-based learning and hands-on fun to teach your child the rules of our language so that they can become confident readers, spellers and writers. I would love to help you help your child who may struggle or have dyslexia. Also, children with ADHD tend to fall behind because they miss out on teaching time at school because their attention disorder. A great tutor can help them stay ahead at school so they don't fall behind.
