About Amy
I enjoy working with students and encouraging an interest in social studies, civics, and citizenship. Not everyone will decide later to work in professional politics or policy. However, we are all citizens and knowledge builds confidence and improves democracy for everyone.
I also enjoy connecting the textbook material to real-world issues that are of concern or interest to the student. Doing so improves learning and makes it more fun.
I have a PhD and MA in political science and a BA with High Honors in English. I have taught for 15+ years and worked with students in both the USA and abroad.
