About Katie
The harp is a facinating and beautiful instrument which I have enjoyed playing semi-profesionally for a few years. Although I am young teacher, my passion and experience in education is robust. I am currently a English teacher. Each day I am learning and growing as a professional and as an educator.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in secondary education with a minor in musical performance. While at Anderson University, I had the privilege of working with tallented staff and students to study music by playing the Harp. I refined my musical abilities by playing both solo and ensemble music while taking courses in both musical theory and history.
Curently, I enjoy playing the harp for local events and weddings, concerts, and ensembles. One of my passions is orchestrial playing. I enjoy playing as second harpits for the Bloomington Symphony Orchestra.
I am working on building a small studio of students of all ages and levels of experience to share the love of music and the beauty of my instrument.
