I first met Sam in Brazil a couple of years ago and recently contacted him for online lessons as I was looking to go further in exploring folk guitar techniques. Sam's lessons are the perfect balance for me between technical proficiency and learning new skills in a way that he makes intuitive to follow, and also conceptual approaches to the instrument which have made a big difference in the way I play. A combination of these two factors and Sam's down-to-earth and encouraging energy have made the lessons motivating for me. I always finish the lessons inspired and wanting to play and come up with new ideas! Organisation-wise and on the technical side of things, it's been very straightforward on Zoom.
