About Sonya
Greetings Friends, Sonya Jevette here, an instructor at Sonya Jevette Guitar Lesson...
I am a singer-songwriter musician multiple instrumentalist live streaming virtual music artist from Texas. I have been teaching for over 17 years.
* My students learn to play notes, scales chords.
* Read music and perform their favorite songs from a beginner picking up a guitar for the first time, to an experienced guitar player looking to improve their performance.
* Most importantly giving students the confidence to succeed and have fun!
I started teaching in 2004 because I love playing guitar and wanted to share that knowledge with other people.
I have been jazz in classically trained from Richland College in Dallas Texas. I have been performing live for over 20 years playing the guitar

Introduction. 7 W's of learning guitar lessons.
Get the student acclimated to holding the guitar. To the parts of the guitar. To what kind of notes they need to take. What tools they will need for lessons and how long they need to practice.
I have worked with students from the age of five all the way up to 77 years of age.
Get to know your teachers so that you can find out whether their style complements your learning ability.
My current eight-year-old female student has written two songs of her own and the cords that she has learned in the past four months
